More About Elvira Trio

The Elvira Piano Trio was formed in September 2022 after an impromptu sight-reading session between friends. Since then, they have explored a range of Romantic composers, including Ravel, Smetana, Dvořák, and Mendelssohn, with plans to expand into contemporary repertoire. Recently, the trio has become a regular guest performer at galas for the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Foundation, supporting its fundraising efforts.

Masterclasses and Competitions

The trio have had the pleasure of performing as finalists at the Ivan Sutton Award and the Tunnell Trust. They are currently working on further competitions.

Aside from this, the trio have received masterclasses from Lucy Gould, Ralph de Souza, and Sarah-Jane Bradley, and have had regular coaching with Ursula Smith and Caroline Palmer.

Strings Duet

As the trio developed, Anastasia and Alexander (cello) discovered a natural musical connection and a beautifully blended sound, leading them to form a violin and cello duo. Their debut performance featured the virtuosic ‘Passacaglia’ by Handel/Halvorsen—often called ‘the impossible duet’—at an evening salon. The duo is now preparing for a performance at the Steinway & Sons concert hall in Dubai.
